TAKING CHARGE
Baray, Cyclones dominate Expos with much needed win.

June 29, 2026 - With the Marauders having secured first place and a bye in the first round of the playoffs, The Cyclones were looking to maneuver their way into second place.  In order to do that though, they needed to win their next two games. Both games are against long time rivals, the Expos. On Sunday, they completed the first step in their quest by defeating the Expos 11-1 in a game that featured several fill in players as an abundance of Cyclones were not available to play.

But the key to their victory today was Eddie Baray, who has been a constant presence this season with the Cyclones and in several games, has willed the Cyclones to victory. On Sunday, it was that way once again. First, at the plate, Eddie reached base 2 out of 3 times, including a double, scored twice, drove in a run and stole a base as well. On the mound, Eddie was virtually lights out! Eddie pitched 7 innings, allowing only 1 unearned run on 5 hits, 1 walk while striking out 11 batters.

Other notable players on Sunday were Chad Tineo, who was 2-3 with 2 runs scored and a stolen base and Camilo Galvez, who was 1-2 with 2 runs scored, a walk, a stolen base and an RBI. It was a well rounded victory as seven players scored at least 1 run and seven players also drove in 1 run.
