RUSTY CYCLONES
After 4 weeks off, the Cyclones were
not ready for Opening Day
Mar 16, 2026 - There was n't any
aspect of the Cyclones game yesterday afternoon that seemed
ready for the season. Starting pitcher Dean Cosme was
ineffective, lasting only 3 innings. The offense seemed out
of sync and in need of finding a rhythm. And the worst
culprit of the day, the defense, seemed to be sleep walking
with errant throws and lackadaisical glove work.
Hopefully the Cyclones can find their rhythm quick as the
season is in full swing and a double header looms on the
horizon.
In the meantime, Sunday's game resulted in a
15-8 loss to the Houston Royals, a team that is finding it's
way in the league and has struggled mightily in the past.
Sunday however, was a different story. They hit the ball
well and their defense, while suspect. held up better than
the Cyclones.
