NOT ENOUGH
Late rally by Marauders downs Cyclones

Apr 27, 2026 - The Cyclones scored 10 runs on Sunday and somehow it wasn't enough.  When that happens, there was a defensive failure that needs correcting. In this case, it was both the pitching and the fielding that hurt the Cyclones. Starting pitcher Dean Cosme pitched well for 3 innings but the wheels came off for him on the 4th innings as he allowed the Marauders to tied the game 6-6 after the Cyclones had done a great job at working counts, taking walks and driving balls into the gaps to score 6 runs in 3 innings. In fact, they did it all game as they then played small ball in the 6th inning with 2 sac bunts and a sac fly to score 2 runs to give themselves a 2 run lead after 6 innings. But the lead wouldn't hold as relief pitcher Chuck Poteet ran into some barrels, lost his control and then the fielding didn't help either as the Cyclones gave up the lead and eventually lost the game 12-10 in 7 innings of play.
